Shakti Unleashes Empowerment Extravaganza: A Symphony of Strength, Style, and Celebration for International Women's Day!

March 3rd, 2024; Georgetown, Tx ~ Shakti, the formidable force behind women's empowerment, gathered on March 3rd to mark International Women's Day, aligning with their mission to shape a more equitable and inclusive society. This event was a powerful step towards achieving that goal, as Shakti's empowerment initiatives strive to amplify women's voices, celebrate their achievements, and provide essential resources for their growth. The occasion garnered support from numerous women platinum, gold, and silver sponsors, while the event hall buzzed with activity as women vendors showcased and sold their products to an enthusiastic crowd of over 500 attendees.

The ambiance of the event was meticulously crafted with an elegant black and red theme, setting the stage for an evening that would unfold with grace and purpose. The festivities commenced with a diya lighting ceremony, led by Shubha Sridhar, the founder of Shakti, and esteemed chief guests including Stephanie Hayden-Howard (Director of Austin Public Health), Michelle Ly (Round Rock Councilmember to Place 1), Nagavalli Medicharla (Chair member at Austin Music Commission, Mayor's Appointee - Austin Arts Commission), Maricela Gómez (Assistant Principal, Georgetown High School), Andrea Curry (Vice President, Williamson County & Commercial Div, JB Goodwin Realtors), and Gloria Chauskey (Security Architecture of FICO Products / Leader in FICO Cybersecurity).

The event unfolded with motivational speeches by distinguished speakers such as Indu Govind, a mental health expert, Ash Rao, the owner of "Passion To Profession," Gauri Chandna, Founder, and Executive Editor of The Foundations TV, and Taseem Plumber, an entrepreneur. The entertainment program was infused with vibrant music and dance performances, creating an atmosphere of celebration and empowerment.

A standout moment of the evening was the fashion show, where women were celebrated as 'stars' shining in black outfits. The choice of black for the fashion show was intentional, symbolizing confidence and grace simultaneously. The runway showcased the diversity and strength of women, embracing individuality and fostering a sense of empowerment.

Shubha Sridhar, the visionary founder of Shakti, expressed her pride in having lived in three countries and her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those around her. As a realtor herself, Sridhar dreams of empowering women from all walks of life, providing them with the support and resources needed to achieve their goals. She stated, "I am always eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to explore new ways of making a positive difference. By actively participating in community service, I hope to inspire others to join the cause and foster a sense of unity and support within our community.
